Billboard Music Producer and Co-Founder to Lead Organization’s Next Chapter Connecting Music, Culture, Clean Energy, and Community Power
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, September 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Klean Energy Kulture (KEK), a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of clean energy, culture, community and economic opportunity, today announced the appointment of Corey Dennard, known professionally as “Mr. Hanky,” as President & CEO. A highly respected Billboard-recognized music producer and co-founder of Klean Energy Kulture, Dennard brings decades of experience in music, entertainment, and cultural engagement to his leadership role. As President & CEO, Dennard will guide Klean Energy Kulture as it expands its work to make clean energy, environmental sustainability, and economic opportunity more accessible and relevant to Black and Brown communities in the South.

From Music to Community Power
Dennard’s leadership reflects Klean Energy Kulture’s belief that the clean energy movement must extend beyond traditional environmental conversations and connect with the culture, creativity, and lived experiences of the communities most impacted by rising energy costs, environmental challenges, and economic inequality. Through its programming, KEK seeks to convene artists, cultural leaders, environmental advocates, educators, and community members to create new pathways for engagement and action. The work of Klean Energy Kulture is possible through the generous support of our partners, The Hive Fund for Gender and Climate Justice and Communities First Fund.
Under Dennard’s leadership, the organization will continue advancing initiatives focused on workforce development, youth engagement, clean energy education, technology, storytelling, and community power building efforts while deepening community partnerships.
The organization is expanding its investment in programming via multimedia lab(s) and art activations on the campuses of EJ Wright School, located in South Fulton, GA and at the Trenches Global Impact Center located at 1230 Hightower Rd NW Atlanta, GA 30318. “We are excited to see how these labs will expand opportunities for young people to develop skills in podcasting, digital media, storytelling, and content production while connecting those skills to environmental and clean energy issues,” said Rashod Stanley Present and CEO of Trenches Global.

The organization envisions a future where Black and Brown communities are not simply participants in the clean energy transition, but leaders, creators, entrepreneurs, workers and owners shaping the future of energy in their communities.
The leadership announcement comes as Klean Energy Kulture prepares for a series of upcoming community and cultural activations, including a September 30 event in partnership with Climate Power and the Black Male Initiative, the launch of its multimedia labs and upcoming partnership with EJ Wright School and Trenches Impact Center. These activations against the backdrop of Atlanta’s inaugural Climate Week are signaling that we are ready for culture to drive conversations about climate and clean energy choices.
