Sutton, formerly Digit Software, has launched Studio, letting operators build custom software tools using their own production data.
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Digit Software, an operations platform for manufacturers and distributors, has rebranded as Sutton, effective today. The company’s website has moved to heysutton.com.
The name change coincides with the release of Sutton Studio, a feature that shipped last month. Sutton’s core modules manage sales, operations, purchasing, and shipping in a single system; Studio adds the ability for an operator to describe a tool in plain language and receive a working version built on the company’s own live data. According to the company, customers have used Studio to build production floor dashboards, delivery boards organized by fulfillment source, supplier scorecards, receiving inspection forms, and yield trackers.
Sutton’s customers range from growing companies to established national brands such as Ballast Point and Great American Cookies, which uses the platform to manage inventory and procurement across more than 400 franchise locations.
“I type out my problem, summarize what I’d like to see, and everything is created for me. It’s like an engineer building a custom app for you in a couple of minutes,” said Andrew Pedersen from Pac Basic.
“For most operations, you could buy software that makes you change your workflows. Or you could pay someone to build something custom and wait months for it, only for it to change again. Instead, we built the layer an operator can create and edit themselves, using their business’s data and workflows within Sutton.” said Dan Koukol, co-founder and CEO of Sutton.
Koukol ran Prodigy Disc, a plastic injection molding company, before founding Sutton. He envisioned Sutton to be the AI-native system of record he didn’t have while running Prodigy Disc, shaped to how each business runs and with the additional tools to mold it to a business’s unique needs.
About Sutton
Sutton, formerly Digit Software, is the AI-native operating system growing manufacturers and distributors use to run their companies: inventory, production, purchasing, fulfillment, and sales in one place, with agents that read and act on live operations data. Sutton Studio lets operators build custom tools directly on that data by describing what they need. Founded in 2021 by Dan Koukol, Simon Kronenberg, and Alena Dagneau, and backed by $6.3 million in funding, the company serves customers across North America and Europe. Learn more at heysutton.com.
